Famous Jesuit RuinsThe famous Jesuit Ruins of San Ignacio - primary goal of tourists from around the world ( night show of image and sound is a new way to experience the history-the real must for every visitor ) are the silent witness of the work of the Jesuits in these lands, back in the seventeenth century, these ruins are the ultimate form of the architecture known as "Guarani Baroque". These impressive Ruins (former Reductions - Jesuit Guarani Missions) and its history will be familiar to those who have seen the movie "The Mission" with the eminent actor Robert De Niro.

Writers Horacio Quiroga house/museumAnother attraction is the historical-cultural visit to the house and museum of Horacio Quiroga. This well famous Uruguayan writer is properly considered the best short story writer from South America. Besides knowing his life and work, the visitor can go for a unique internal paths: the natural environment that inspired him. The site also has balconies overlooking the forest and river Parana.

Teyu Cuare Provincial park reserveProvincial Park Teyu Cuare (Cueva del Lagarto) is a nature reserve on the shore of the Parana River which covers an area of 78 ha. Landscapes that will leave visitors attracted by its beauty. Its an alternative for those who love contemplating and interpreting the nature, climb the Rock, trekking or just enjoy excellent views of around 120 meters high, observing this vergin flora and fauna from multiple wonderful viewpoints. |

Private reserve OsununuAnother option in communion with nature, is to visit Osununú ( in Guarani language means "thunder" ) - a private reserve of 174 ha, which main objectivs are to conserve the ecosystem, protect the native forest the wildlife and flora, promote scientific research and also educate! On the banks of the river has seven viewpoints and the best terrace of the Paraná River, now being cared for by the Foundation Temaikén.
